Brady continues to get rewarded for his performance when the Bucs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 38-31 on Sunday where they erased a 17-point deficit. Along with throwing for 369 yards and five touchdowns to five different receivers, Brady also set a record for most regular season wins with 222, and became the third Buccaneer in team history to throw for at least 300 yards and five scores.
His production in the second half may have put Brady over the top to win the weekly award. Bruce Arians says that Brady was “lights out” as he completed 15 of 18 passes and threw for 263 yards with three touchdowns. It was the 34th time in his career that Brady came back and won after trailing by at least 10 points.
It’s a quick turnaround for Brady and the Bucs as they play the Chicago Bears at Solider Field on Thursday night.
