The Bucs continue to bring in players for official 30 visits, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Evan Winter of A to Z Sports is reporting that the team is bringing California cornerback Nohl Williams to Tampa Bay for a 30 visit. Winter reported the news on X.
Source tells A to Z Sports the Bucs are hosting Cal CB Nohl Williams on a top-30 visit today.
He racked up 14 INTs during his college career, including a Power 5-leading seven picks in 2024. He was named a consensus All-American last year, too.
Totally fits the bill for Todd…

Williams led the FBS with seven interceptions, including a pick-six against Miami quarterback Cam Ward, in 2024 in addition to nine pass breakups.

The 6-foot, 199-pound Williams ran a 4.5 with a 1.54 time in the 10-yard split. That less than stellar 40-yard dash time will likely make Williams a mid-round pick in the third or fourth round. But Tampa Bay has had some success in the past with drafting cornerbacks in the the third round, most notably with Jamel Dean, who is currently starting opposite Zyon McCollum.
Williams is the fifth known cornerback to visit Tampa Bay on an official 30 visit, joining East Carolina’s Shavon Revel Jr., Ole Miss’ Trey Amos, Kansas State’s Jacob Parrish and Oregon’s Nikko Reed.
Pewter Report has identified 11 out of the 30 players coming to Tampa Bay for official 30 visits. Bucs fans can find details about all of the known visitors in our Official 30 Visit Tracker.
Nohl Williams Is A Ballhawk CB That Can Help Bucs Get More INTs

Some defensive backs just have a knack for coming up with interceptions. Ronde Barber, the Bucs’ all-time interceptor with 47 career picks, had 15 INTs in three seasons at Virginia. Barber was a third-round pick in 1997.
Donnie Abraham, who is second on the list with 31 and originally broke the Tampa Bay interception record before Barber passed him, had 15 picks at East Tennessee State, including three pick-sixes. Abraham was a third-round pick in 1996.
Aqib Talib, the best Bucs cornerback ever drafted in the first round (2008), had 13 interceptions in three seasons at Kansas and wound up with 18 picks, including three returned for touchdowns, in 4.5 seasons in Tampa Bay before being traded to New England.
So when Todd Bowles says he wants ballhawks, the Bucs need to look for the defensive backs that take the ball away – a lot – in college. And nobody did that more than California’s Nohl Williams. He recorded an FBS-high seven picks last year and finished with 14 in his five-year college career – the first three of which were at UNLV. Williams also totaled 25 pass breakups in college.
Williams also had 203 total tackles in his five-year college career and was a ballhawk in other ways, too. He recovered four fumbles, returning two for touchdowns in 2023 at Cal, in addition to forcing three fumbles in his college career, including one in each of the last three seasons.
Williams, who was featured in Pewter Report’s initial 2025 7-Round Bucs Mock Draft, is also a kick return specialist who could help Tampa Bay in that area. The first-team All-American cornerback averaged 27.5 yards per kick return in his two seasons at Cal and had an 80-yard touchdown against UC-Davis.
