The Bucs are bringing in more cornerbacks for official 30 visits than any other position so far this offseason. Tampa Bay has another official 30 visit scheduled with a starting-caliber outside cornerback in Ole Miss’ Trey Amos.
The news was first reported by Fox Sports’ Mike Garafolo on X.
Also, Amos tells us he has visits set with the #Eagles, #AZCardinals, #Bills, #Buccaneers and #Steelers.

Amos joins the ranks of East Carolina’s Shavon Revel Jr., Kansas State’s Jacob Parrish and Oregon’s Nikko Reed as the fourth cornerback Tampa Bay has brought to Bucs headquarters for a visit. And the Rebels star is the ninth known visitor to Tampa Bay, including eight on the defensive side of the ball. That’s no surprise as this is expected to be a defensive-laden draft for the Bucs this year.

The Bucs love drafting players from the Senior Bowl, and guess what? Amos had a good showing in this year’s Senior Bowl practices. After transferring to Alabama from Louisiana where he had 59 tackles, 13 passes broken up and one interception in three seasons, Amos found it tough to get on the field. He notched just six tackles and five pass breakups in less than 350 snaps with the Crimson Tide in 2023.
Amos transferred to Ole Miss for his final season where he became a playmaker with three interceptions, 13 pass breakups, 50 tackles, four tackles for loss and one forced fumble. At 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Amos has ideal size to play outside cornerback in Todd Bowles’ defensive scheme and is fast enough with a 4.43 time in the 40-yard dash.
Amos is battled tested after playing the last two seasons in the SEC and allowed opposing QBs to post just a 54.5 passer rating last season. He only allowed 32 catches for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his lone season with the Rebels. He’s a physical cornerback who has experience playing press-man coverage, but is probably better suited in a zone scheme to his his vision and his anticipation when closing on wide receivers.

“I like watching a lot of cornerbacks, but I just try to use their techniques to try to put it in my toolbag,” Amos told ScoutDNFL at the Senior Bowl before having to withdraw for the game after suffering a mild injury in practice.”There’s a lot of good cornerbacks that I watch. Patrick Sutain, Quinyon Mitchell, Jaire Alexander — I just like watching those guys attacking the ball, being twitchy. I try to bring that to my game.”
The Bucs would like to add a starting-caliber outside cornerback to compete with Jamel Dean this offseason and during training camp and possibly start opposite Zyon McCollum. Tampa Bay has visits with East Carolina’s Shavon Revel Jr. and Amos, as both of those players meet that criteria in terms of size and speed as outside cornerbacks.
The Bucs could also use help at nickel cornerback and Kansas State’s Jacob Parrish, who is 5-foot-10, and Oregon’s Nikko Reed, who is 5-foot-9, are candidates for the role as nickelbacks. Both of those players are scheduled to visit Tampa Bay as well in April.
