Latest Bucs Headlines

The Bucs face off against the Eagles for their Wild Card playoff matchup at Raymond James Stadium Monday night. Quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle/ribs) is unsurprisingly active and set to start despite entering the weekend with a status of “questionable.”

With Mayfield good to go, the Bucs are pretty healthy heading into Monday. Here are their inactives for the game:

Laird and Ramirez were both elevated from the practice squad earlier in the day, but will remain inactive. But with the elevation, both will receive a playoff game check. None of these inactives are a surprise, meaning Tampa Bay is in better shape injury-wise than the Eagles are.

On the Philadelphia side, here are their inactives:

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) and safety Reed Blankenship (groin) are the two big inactives for the Eagles, while quarterback Jalen Hurts (finger) is good to go, as expected.

Bucs-Eagles Matchup Features A Potential Face-To-Face Between Twin Brothers

With Tristin McCollum active for the Eagles, Monday night’s game will officially feature a matchup between twin brothers. Of course, Bucs cornerback Zyon McCollum is Tristin’s twin brother. As Fox Sports’ Greg Auman pointed out, the twins may even face of one-on-one on special teams.

Tristin McCollum was elevated to the Eagles’ gameday roster earlier Monday as a result of the long list of injuries the team is dealing with. He played his first defensive snaps at the NFL level last week as Philadelphia dropped its Week 18 matchup at New York. Assuming he sees playoff action, this would be his NFL playoff debut.

Zyon McCollum made his NFL playoff debut in last year’s NFC Wild Card Round, which saw the Bucs become first-round exits at the hands of the Cowboys.

The McCollums both played their college ball at Sam Houston, with Zyon becoming a fifth-round pick in the 2022 Draft while Tristin signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent last year before signing on with the Eagles this year. So, in the span of two years, the twins have gone from teammates to opponents on the big stage that is the NFL Postseason.
