The Bucs announced they have elevated two members of the practice squad ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Tight end Deon Yelder and wide receiver Cyril Grayson have received the call this week.
We're using both practice squad elevation options this week, bringing up WR Cyril Grayson and TE Deon Yelder.#GoBucs

For Yelder it’s his third time elevated to the active roster, one of which was a COVID activation. He will act as the teams third tight end with Rob Gronkowski missing his fourth straight game. The Bucs have activated a tight end in each of the four weeks Gronkowski has missed, between Yelder and Codey McElroy. Yelder saw his first snaps of the season Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Grayson not only sees his first elevation, but was also protected for the first time this season. With the Bucs wide receiver depth thin this week, he’ll act as extra protection in the case of injuries. Scotty Miller remains on injured reserve with turf toe, and Antonio Brown is out with an ankle injury. In the former track star, Grayson provides a different speed option to the offense. In five career games Grayson has just one reception for three yards, despite four targets. He also has contributed on special teams including one kick return for 20 yards.
