On Saturday the Bucs elevated two players from their practice squad to help bolster their defense headed into their week two matchup with the Detroit Lions. Defensive linemen C.J. Brewer and Mike Greene were both elevated for the second straight week as the team continues to deal with injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey is out for the second consecutive week dealing with a calf injury. Defensive end Logan Hall missed week one with a foot injury and has been listed on the team’s injury report all week despite practicing. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Greene and Brewer will act as precautions of Hall takes a step back on Sunday.

The Bucs are dealing with a slew of injuries to their secondary. Free safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is out with his own foot injury while cornerback Josh Hayes is out dealing with an ankle ailment. Tampa Bay already lost fellow cornerback Bryce Hall to injured reserve due to his own lower body injury. The team was able to make a commiserate move by signing cornerback Keenan Isaac, who was on the Bucs’ practice squad last year as well as this year’s training camp.

Cornerback Zyon McCollum is expected to return to the lineup after leaving last week’s game with a concussion. But he cleared concussion protocol according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.
