The Bucs elevated an offensive lineman on Monday prior to their Week 2 game at Houston on Monday Night Football.
And after last week's surprise shake up along the offensive line with reserve lineman Michael Jordan getting elevated from the practice squad to suddenly start at left guard, it wasn't a shocker to see Jordan as Tampa Bay's practice squad elevation this week.
This is a key indicator that the Bucs will once again have Graham Barton start at left tackle, left guard Ben Bredeson start at center and Jordan start at left guard for a second straight week – this time versus the Texans.
Jordan was the only practice squad elevation this week, and perhaps an indicator that Luke Goedeke, who is dealing with a foot injury, is expected to start tonight. Charlie Heck took some reps at right tackle with the starters until Saturday when Goedeke returned to practice. Undrafted free agent Ben Chukwuma is the only other reserve offensive tackle on the gameday roster.
Michael Jordan Is Bucs' Lone Practice Squad Elevation
Michael Jordan (6-6, 312) made his Buccaneers debut in Week 1, starting at left guard and contributing to an offensive line that produced three passing touchdowns and a league-leading ninth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance. He has appeared in 68 career games, including 41 starts, between the Cincinnati Bengals (2019–20), Carolina Panthers (2021–22), New England Patriots (2024) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2025).

He originally entered the league as a fourth-round selection (No. 136 overall) by the Bengals in the 2019 NFL Draft. Jordan played collegiately at The Ohio State University (2016–18), where he started 41 consecutive games across three seasons, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2017. He helped anchor an Ohio State offensive line that led the Big Ten in scoring and total offense in each of his three seasons.
