Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported on Thursday that Chris Godwin has signed his franchise tag with the Bucs, officially keeping the wide receiver with Tampa Bay for at least the 2021 season.

The franchise tag for this upcoming year will see Godwin make $15.983 million for the 2021 season.

After a breakout year in 2019 where Godwin racked up 1,333 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in just 14 games, the fourth-year receiver followed that performance up with 840 yards and seven touchdowns in 2020. In the postseason Godwin added 232 yards and one touchdown on 16 receptions as the Bucs eventually won their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
