Bucs head coach Bruce Arians has seen the rumors and “reports”, and he’s tired of it. In a terrific interview with the Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud, Arians blasted a recent tweet thread from radio host Rich Ohrnberger. The thread and subsequent on-air appearance by Ohrnberger said the relationship between Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and Arians had soured. Ohrnberger accused Arians of “undermining” offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and Brady by eliminating sections of the game plan late in the week.
Apparently, while Arians was rehabbing the achilles in the early mornings, offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and Brady would work on the week's game plan. Arians would later come in and take the red pen to work they'd done. The QB and OC felt undermined, there was tension.

There have been whispers and rumors of dissension between Brady and Arians, but no actual reports. Much of the smoke has come from Boston media, who have been skeptical of the relationship since before it started. Stroud reached out to Arians following Ohrnberger’s tweets, causing the head coach to slam the reports.
“It seems like there’s one (story) every day now,’’ Arians told Stroud. “Everybody is speculating he’s going somewhere else. That don’t bother me. This other bulls**t, the relationship thing. That’s so far-fetched.”
Arians was perhaps most angry about the implication from Ohrnberger that he would overrule Leftwich and Brady’s work. Considering the head coach has tangibly surrendered control of the offense to both of them, that would be strange.
“I mean, that’s such bulls**t,” Arians said. “That’s what pisses me off. I guess probably Byron could corroborate this, too. First of all, I don’t rehab my Achilles in the morning. I will go over the game plans and add things, but I don’t delete anything. I don’t have to because they do such a good job. I’ll see some things. Add some things. It’s an awesome collaboration, one of the best I’ve ever been around.’’
Arians had other comments too, including scoffing at the idea he takes a “red pen” to the game plan. The former Coach of the Year said he’s “never heard of that one”. You can read the entire story here.
Ohrnberger Defends His Claim
While others worked around the clock in Tampa to build a winner, Head Football Coach Bruce Arians had a much lighter work schedule.
