The Bucs got a big win against the visiting Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, but linebacker Lavonte David drew a big fine in the season opener. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, David was fined $12,875 for taking off his helmet on the field and slamming it after almost picking off a Dak Prescott pass in the first half. David wasn’t flagged on the play, but the NFL office reviewed the play and issued a fine.

Had David not broken up the pass, it looked like safety Mike Edwards was going to pick it off near the goal line. David led the Bucs with 11 tackles in Week 1.
