In a video that has resurfaced from an interview from DJ Vlad on Youtube with Bucs’ legend Warren Sapp, the former Tampa Bay pass-rusher is brutally critical of Cam Newton and the way he handled his loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

In the interview, Sapp compares Newton’s performance to Doug Williams’ MVP performance with the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XXII.
“I watched Cam Newton tell me that he’s going to the Super Bowl to do what no other African-American quarterback has ever done,” Sapp said. “I guess he forgets [January 31, 1988] because Doug Williams was standing there lighting the Broncos’ ass up. Won Super Bowl MVP.”
Sapp continued.
“What’s left for an African-American quarterback?,” Sapp said. “Oh that’s right, what he did. Lose the game, won’t stick his nose in to get the fumble and pout like a bitch.”

This isn’t the only Panther that Sapp has been critical off in recent months, however. Sapp made headlines last week with his comments critical of former Bucs’ defensive tackle, and current Panther, Gerald McCoy’s assertion on the Pewter Nation podcast that he was a legend in Tampa Bay’s organization.
