Latest Bucs Headlines

On Thursday, the Bucs confirmed their local broadcast teams for the 2024 season, both for radio (preseason and regular season) as well as television (preseason).

Perhaps the biggest and most celebration-worthy news is that the radio voice of the Buccaneers, Gene Deckerhoff, will return to the booth for his 36th season. Deckerhoff has called so many of the biggest moments in franchise history, and as the longtime voice of the team, he deserves to be an eventual inductee into the Ring of Honor inside Raymond James Stadium.

Alongside him for the 19th season will be former Tampa Bay tight end Dave Moore. T.J. Rives will be back for his 20th season as the in-game sideline reporter. The radio home of the Bucs will still be 98Rock (97.9 FM).

Tampa Bay also announced that it reached a multi-year extension with NIA Broadcasting for Spanish-language alternative broadcasts. Those will once again feature play-by-play man Carlos Bohórquez, former Tampa Bay kicker Martín Gramática and Santiago Gramática. That crew is back for its seventh year together. The Spanish-language broadcasts will be on WTMP 96.1 FM-HD-1.

It’s The Same Home For Bucs Preseason Games

WFLA News Channel 8 remains the home for Bucs preseason games this season, with the three exhibitions being televised locally.

Chris Myers, Bucs legend/Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronde Barber and Dan Lucas will partner up to call the games at Cincinnati (Aug. 10) and Jacksonville (Aug. 17) as well as the preseason finale at home against Miami (Aug. 23).

The Bucs-Bengals preseason game will air locally on WTTA-TV, an affiliate of WFLA, while the other two games will be on WFLA News Channel 8 itself.

Spanish radio will also simulcast with WFLA during the preseason to provide a Spanish-language option for local fans.
