This season has been an unprecedented one for the Bucs on the injury front. Nearly every game the team has suffered injuries, and another big player went down on Sunday afternoon against the 49ers.
That being Pro Bowl left tackle Tristan Wirfs.

Toward the end of the second quarter, as Tampa Bay’s offense was driving down the field, Wirfs’ right knee was rolled up by a San Francisco defensive lineman. After being down on the ground for a moment, the star left tackle was helped by trainers off the field. In the process, Wirfs was badly limping and not putting pressure on his right leg.

It was another quiet moment at Raymond James Stadium when Tristan Wirfs went down, as the home crowd is not too far removed from seeing wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both go down with serious injuries themselves against the Ravens on Monday night.
It is another big blow to the Bucs’ offense, as they headed into the second half missing their three best offensive players surrounding quarterback Baker Mayfield. Wirfs had a tough matchup facing star 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and had been holding his own up to his injury.
Reserve tackle Justin Skule replaced Wirfs, and while the team has a bye week coming up, it may not be enough time for the team to get their best offensive lineman back by the time they face the Giants in Week 12.
We will have more of an update after the game, so be sure to follow PewterReport.com for the latest information.
