He hasn’t taken the field for the Bucs since halfway through the 2018 season, but Tampa Bay still isn’t ready to give up on Justin Evans just yet. On Saturday the team decided not to cut Evans, but instead to place the former second round pick on the Physically Unable to Perform (P.U.P.) list, per The Athletic’s Greg Auman.
Bucs are putting safety Justin Evans on the PUP/reserve list, which gives him another six weeks to recover from his foot/ankle injury.

Evans presence on the PUP list means that he’ll have six weeks from the start of the regular season to get healthy. After that the Bucs will have a 5-week window in which Evans can begin to practice again, but just 21 days from the time he returns to practice to decide whether or not he’ll be restored to the active roster.
