When the Bucs waived injured center Donnell Stanley during Tuesday’s roster cut down, it was assumed that rookie center Robert Hainsey might be close to a return. Turns out that assumption was correct as Hainsey returned to practice Wednesday.
Looks like OL Robert Hainsey is dressed and practicing today for the #Bucs.

The 2021 third round pick had missed the last two weeks of practice with an undisclosed injury. A right tackle in college, Hainsey has been making the transition to center with the Bucs. Before his injury he was exclusively running with the second unit. While dealing with injury, Hainsey was often seen working on his snapping mechanics on the side with quarterback Tom Brady and others. He also received practice reps during the 7-on-7 sessions.
Hainsey joins his teammates in joint practices with the Tennessee Titans prior to Saturday’s preseason matchup. As he eases back into the line up he is working with the third team unit on Wednesday. His status for Saturday’s game remains unknown.
Arians offered a positive report on Hainsey early during camp.
