The streak is over as the Bucs lost for the first time in five by a score of 23-20 to the Houston Texans. Part of the reason for the Bucs loss was five turnovers by the offense, with four of them coming on interceptions from Jameis Winston. The debate rages on about whether or not you can win with Winston as your quarterback, and Mark Cook goes off about how he’s done with Winston, while Trevor actually defends the Bucs quarterback.

Even with four interceptions and one fumble by Peyton Barber, the Bucs were still very much in this game. You can’t help but think if they had Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, or at least one of them, the Bucs end up winning this game. There were actually four other plays outside of the turnovers that were game changing plays that could have gotten the Bucs the win, and Matt breaks down each one.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bucs’ defense played one of their best games of the season led by three sacks by Jason Pierre-Paul, one interception by Jamel Dean, and a forced fumble by Lavonte David. With so many young players, the Bucs could be in a good situation come next season. The only issue is they need to bring back Shaq Barrett and Pierre-Paul, which means someone has to be the odd man out. Find out who that is plus much more from this new Pewter Nation Podcast.
