PewterReport.com and Westshore Financial present the Pewter Nation Podcast, a weekly audio hour of news, analysis and inside scoop on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers delivered with a dose of humor and insight from Bucs beat writers Scott Reynolds, Mark Cook, Taylor Jenkins and Matt Matera, who also serves as the show’s producer. Look for the Pewter Nation Podcast each week on PewterReport.com for your listening pleasure during the 2020 season.
It was busy week this offseason for the Bucs as they revealed their new uniforms, had a press conference with Lavonte David and Jason Licht on different days and Tom Brady had a two-hour interview with Howard Stern. Mark Cook, Matt Matera and TaylorJenkins broke down a litany of these topics from a week that didn’t lack news.
We learned a lot about Brady during his appearance on the Stern Show, who revealed much more than he would in a regular interview, such as that he knew he was leaving the Patriots before last season started. Even when free agency started, it was still a surprise that he chose the Bucs.
After some discussion about Jameis Winston’s spat with David Carr on twitter, we then discuss Winston’s former college teammate, Devonta Freeman and if he would be a good fit on the Bucs, who need a running back.
Jason Licht said that Ronald Jones is a starter, but that wouldn’t stop him from taking a running back in this draft, so the idea of adding Freeman plus a rookie doesn’t sound half bad. We give our thoughts on the Bucs new uniforms again, which you can hear our thoughts in the new Pewter Nation Podcast.
