The Bucs got their first win of the season! There was a fear at some point that they would squander a 21-0 lead, but that wasn’t the case this time around. Tom Brady and Mike Evans were great together, and the defense got turnovers.
When Carolina started rallying in the second half, it was clutch plays by Carlton Davis and Leonard Fournette that helped the Bucs get over the top. With that said, this win was by no means perfect, and it begs some questions moving forward.
We know the safeties stopped up and Ndamukong Suh had a nice game, but what else needs to improve on defense? There’s also questions on offense about if Rob Gronkowski is up to speed, and who the top running back really is, because Leonard Fournette was a closer in the fourth. Hear it all in this new Pewter Nation Podcast.
