With cut down day on Tuesday looming, the Bucs made two roster moves to help get down to the 80-man roster limit. The team announced it has placed guard Aaron Stinnie and outside linebacker Cam Gill on injured reserve.

The placement of Stinnie on IR was expected after the veteran guard tore his ACL and MCL in Saturday’s loss to the Titans. Stinnie was injured when running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn was tackled into the back of his leg on a running play. He had to be carted off the field and was ruled out to return.
With Gill, there was hope the Bucs might be able to return the third year veteran ater in the season. A stint on IR was always a real possibility, though it was assumed he would be placed on the list after final roster cuts making him eligible to return later in the season. His placement on the list before those cuts means he is no longer eligible to return for the 2022 season.
The Bucs have already made two roster moves with the release of wide receiver Vyncint Smith and the waiving of safety Troy Warner. The placement of Stinnie and Gill on injured reserve means the Bucs have still one move to make to be compliant with the 80- man roster rules on Tuesday by 4:00 p.m. ET. Though not official, it appears the Bucs may have already made the move as tight end Bug Howard was not seen at practice on Monday.
