The Bucs season started off on the best note it could with a big win in New Orleans, but that win didn’t come without casualties.
After leaving the Saints game with a shoulder injury, per Rick Stroud, the Buccaneers will place cornerback Vernon Hargreaves on IR and he will miss the remainder of the year.

Hargreaves went to see specialist Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday to get a second opinion on his shoulder condition and whether or not it required season-ending surgery. They determine his injury was severe enough to require such action, and the team will reportedly placed him on IR as a result.
The team has signed cornerback Marcus Williams in anticipation of this, and could add another cornerback later this week.
