One of the rookie bright spots that has had a strong training camp early on is going to be out for the rest of the season. The Bucs placed undrafted rookie D’Cota Dixon on injured reserve on Thursday due to a shoulder injury, as reported by Rick Stroud.
Dixon played his college football at Wisconsin before signing with the Bucs after the draft.
With the absence of Dixon, this gives more of an opportunity for safeties such as Isaiah Johnson and fellow rookie Lukas Denis.
The Bucs also made another move on Friday, signing offensive guard Salesi Uhatafe in replacement of losing Mike Liedtke for the season on Thursday. Uhatafe played his college football at Utah, and was most recently cut by the Redskins in May.
