Logan was tackled to the ground by Quinton Bell and tore his patellar tendon, while Franklin had to be carted off with a left knee injury the next day.
Bruce Arians has highly praised both Logan and Franklin this camp. He was impressed by Logan for his receiving skills as a running back and complimentary of Franklin for his speed and knowledge of the game as he transitioned from defensive back to receiver and battled for the fifth spot.
Each player was getting looks at punt and kick return with Logan in particular having a good case to land the starting role. Their absences leave a void in the return game, which Arians said on Friday that Scotty Miller and rookies Raymond Calais and Antoine Winfield Jr. will get some looks.
