The first bit of Bucs scheduling news has come out on Tuesday as the NFL has announced its entire preseason schedule. While the date of the final game has not been specified, the Bucs first three games are all on Friday night at 7:30.
Here is the list of the Bucs’ opponents for the 2019 preseason.
Week 1: August 9, 7:30 PM
Bucs at Steelers
Week 2: August 16, 7:30 PM
Bucs vs. Dolphins
Week 3: August 23, 7:30 PM
Bucs vs. Browns
Week 4: August 29-30
Bucs at Cowboys
Some notes to point out are that Bruce Arians will return to Pittsburgh week one, where he was the Steelers assistant coach for 11 seasons and was part of two Super Bowl winning teams. He was offensive coordinator for five of those seasons, including winning Super Bowl XLIII at that position.
The Bucs are expected to hold a joint practice in Tampa Bay when they take on the Dolphin in week two. Arians has mentioned doing up to three joint practices before their game.
They will also see a familiar friend when the Browns travel to Tampa Bay in week three. The Bucs former offensive coordinator Todd Monken is now in his first season as the Browns offensive coordinator.
