The move was expected as Grayson has turned in two productive games for the Bucs. After Godwin’s injury and the Antonio Brown fiasco, the 28-year old wide receiver has really stepped up into his role. Grayson has been making big play after big play including a game winning touchdown in Week 17. Speaking with the media Friday, Bruce Arians said the move was one the team anticipating making and that Grayson deserved it.
“That’s one of the things we’re deliberating right now [with] the number of roster moves we’re going to have to make in the next seven or eight days,” Arians said. “He’s earned the right for sure.”
In his last two games Grayson has totaled nine catches for 162 yards and a touchdown. He will need to continue his development as he earns a bigger role in the offense. And with limited options, the team will need rely on him. Brady has trust in the wideout and that will go a long way in as the Bucs start their playoff run.
The Bucs are also activating interior offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie off of injured reserve. Stinnie was place on IR after injuring his knee in the Bucs Week 12 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Bucs started his 21-day window to return on January 5. Auman is also reporting running back Kenjon Barner and tight end Darren Fells will be elevated from the teams practice squad for the teams final regular season game against the Carolina Panthers.
