The team addressed the RB position in last April’s NFL Draft with the selection of USC running back Ronald Jones and many fans – and members of the organization – expected a boost to an average running game.
But Jones struggled in the preseason, and through three games so far in 2018, the former Trojan standout wasn’t active. Reports early on Sunday have stated that will change in Chicago.
An interesting active today: Buccaneers' second-round pick, RB Ronald Jones, is expected to be active today for the first time this season, per league source.

How many, if any carries Jones will get is anyone’s guess, as he most likely is still the third running back going to into the matchup with the Bears, behind Peyton Barber and Jacquizz Rodgers.
Rookie defensive tackle and No. 1 draft pick Vita Vea is also expected to see his first action of 2018 after missing several weeks with a calf injury that he suffered early in training camp. Having a healthy Vea is a welcomed addition, as Beau Allen is out or Sunday’s game against the Bears.
