The Bucs will reportedly re-sign veteran linebacker Kevin Minter to a one-year extension on Friday.
The Bucs are re-sigining LB Kevin Minter to a one-year deal that qualifies for the new veteran salary benefit incorporated into the CBA. He's appeared in 21 games in two seasons with Tampa Bay.

Minter, now entering his eighth season in the NFL, was originally drafted to the Cardinals in 2013 where he played under Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles before spending the some of the 2017 season with Cincinnati and ultimately landing with Tampa Bay in 2018.
Minter adds veteran leadership and a familiarity with Bowles’ defense to the Bucs’ linebackers unit, a vital role for Tampa Bay’s first round pick in 2019, Devin White, and can be a serviceable replacement should White or Lavonte David miss time with injury. Minter racked up 34 tackles, two passes defended, two tackles for loss and a recovered fumble in 16 games last season while starting two games in White’s early-season absence following a knee injury.
