The Tampa Bay Bucs got some favorable news at cornerback prior to playing the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Cornerback Dee Delaney has cleared the concussion protocol and will be active. The Athletic’s Greg Auman was the first to report the news on Twitter.

Delaney, who is in his first year in Tampa Bay, suffered a concussion last week in a friendly fire incident when he got hit by teammate Devin White while the two Bucs defenders were attempting to make a tackle. He left the game, then returned briefly and then finally exited the game. Delaney did give up a touchdown at Washington and did not have one of his better games.
The Bucs might also activate cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting for the Giants game. Murphy-Bunting has been out since Week 1 when he dislocated his elbow in the first half of the team’s 31-29 win against Dallas. The team has until 4:00 p.m. ET to decide whether to activate Murphy-Bunting and/or wide receiver Scotty Miller, who suffered a foot injury in a Week 3 loss at Los Angeles against the Rams. Miller and Murphy-Bunting have been practicing for the last two weeks.
With cornerback Richard Sherman going on injured reserve last week, Tampa Bay won’t need to make any roster moves in order to activate Murphy-Bunting or Miller. The Bucs currently have two openings on their roster. Another move Tampa Bay could make would be to elevate cornerback Bledi Wreh-Wilson from the practice squad to help out at the cornerback position with Sherman going on injured reserve.
