Coming off of a tough two-point home loss to the Packers last Sunday, the Bucs are back at Raymond James Stadium in Week 4 for a Super Bowl LV rematch against the Chiefs.
Tampa Bay (2-1) and Kansas City (2-1) will meet in a marquee matchup on Sunday Night Football, though both teams have undergone plenty of changes since their last meeting at Ray-Jay. The Bucs went all of last season without losing back-to-back home games, and they’ll look to avoid dropping another game in front of the home crowd when Patrick Mahomes and Co. come to town.
Between the fact that they’re looking to rebound from a loss and the hope that they’ll be able to provide some joy for a city and state that have been through a lot in the last week, the Bucs have plenty of inspiration to draw from heading into this week’s game. And at the same time, Tampa Bay has some players looking to make moves in the NFL and franchise record books.
Last week, Tom Brady passed Steve DeBerg for the seventh-most pass attempts in team history. Where do things stand this week? Let’s get into it.

Tom Brady
Brady is 319 passing yards away from moving ahead of Brad Johnson (10,940) – the other Buccaneers quarterback to win a Super Bowl with the team – for sixth-most in team history.
After nearly leading the Bucs back against the Packers last week only to fall short, Brady is still one fourth-quarter comeback away from tying Peyton Manning (43) for the NFL’s all-time record.
Leonard Fournette
Fournette has yet to find the end zone this season, which means he’s right where he was to start 2022. He needs one rushing touchdown to tie Peyton Barber, Earnest Graham and Lars Tate (15) for 10th-most in franchise history. Two rushing scores will tie him with Ricky Bell (16) for ninth-most, while four more will tie him with Ronald Jones II (18) for eighth-most.
Mike Evans
In his return from suspension, Evans has a chance to make some Buccaneer history. He needs seven scrimmage yards against the Chiefs to break the franchise record, which currently belongs to James Wilder (9,449). Meanwhile, eight more points scored will move Evans ahead of Connor Barth (477) for third-most in team history.
Sunday night will also mark Evans’ 124th career start, moving him ahead of Gerald McCoy (123) for ninth-most in team history. He’ll now sit six behind Warren Sapp (130) for eighth-most.
Evans’ streak of eight straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons to start his career is already an NFL record, but he’s looking to extend that streak to nine seasons in 2022. Through two games, he has 132 yards. That means he needs to average 62 receiving yards per game over the final 14 games to break that 1,000-yard mark once again.

Chris Godwin
If Godwin can return to the field for the first time since Week 1, he’ll have a shot to make some of his own history. He needs one touchdown to tie Kevin House (31) for sixth-most total touchdowns in team history. He’s also chasing House (31) for fourth-most receiving touchdowns in franchise history, and he needs just two more to tie him.
Cameron Brate
Brate is stuck on 33 receiving touchdowns as a Buc. The veteran tight end needs one more score of any kind to tie Jimmie Giles (34) for fourth-most total touchdowns in team history, while his next receiving touchdown will tie him with Giles (34) for second-most receiving scores in Tampa Bay’s history.
Lavonte David
Sunday will be David’s 153rd career game, which will leave him five behind Mike Alstott (158) for seventh-most in Bucs history. It will also be his 153rd career start, though he’ll still be 30 behind Paul Gruber (183) for the third-most by any Buc.
David needs one defensive touchdown to tie Mike Washington and David Logan (four) for third-most in franchise history.

Will Gholston
Gholston will play in his 140th game as a Buc on Sunday night, which will tie him with franchise legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp for the 10th-most in team history.
Shaquil Barrett
Barrett needs one more forced fumble to tie Hardy Nickerson (13) for sixth-most in team history.
