There’s no rest for the weary as the 4-3 Bucs come back after their Monday night loss to host the 4-3 Falcons on Sunday afternoon in a game with major NFC South implications.

Tampa Bay will be without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, which makes this an even tougher matchup than it already would’ve been. The Bucs need a win over the Falcons to avoid a season sweep. If Atlanta completes the sweep, it’ll be 4-0 in NFC South play and have a stranglehold on the division.

As usual, there are other storylines to follow in this Week 8 matchup outside of the NFC South race and what this game could mean for the Bucs’ season and Todd Bowles’ future. And that’s the reason we’re here right now.

As we do every week here on PewterReport.com, it’s now time to take a look at what else is on the line during this week’s game. Of course, we’re talking about some of the records and milestones that some Bucs are moving toward.

Without Evans and Godwin in the lineup, there’s far less history at stake. But there’s still some, and Evans made some himself last week before leaving the game early. Evans caught his 100th touchdown and crossed over 12,000 receiving yards in his career, becoming the 10th player ever to reach those marks in his career. He joined eight Hall of Famers and a future Hall of Famer in doing so.

Here’s where things stand heading into Week 8:

Baker Mayfield

With 192 more passing yards, Mayfield will pass Craig Erickson (6,094) for ninth-most in Bucs history.

Another 16 touchdown passes will move Mayfield ahead of Steve DeBerg (61) for eighth-most in Tampa Bay history.

Rachaad White

White needs two more receiving touchdowns to tie Warrick Dunn and James Wilder (9) for second-most by a running back in team history.

With 55 receiving yards, White will pass Doug Martin (1,091) for seventh-most by a running back in franchise history.

Cade Otton

Otton is four receptions away from passing O.J. Howard (119) for eighth-most by a tight end in team history. With 14 more receptions, Otton will move ahead of Alex Smith (129) for seventh-most by a tight end in franchise history.

Will Gholston

Gholston is set to play his 177th game as a Buc, leaving him eight away from passing Paul Gruber (183) for fifth-most in franchise history.

Lavonte David

David is about to play in his 189th game with the Bucs, meaning he’ll be just two away from passing Dave Moore (190) for third-most in team history.

With three more sacks, David will pass David Logan (39.0) for sixth-most in Tampa Bay history.

David needs six more passes defensed to pass Carlton Davis III (73) for fourth-most in Buccaneer history.

Antoine Winfield Jr.

Winfield needs one more sack to tie Keith Bostic (17.0) for 14th-most by a defensive back since sacks became an official stat in 1982. He is two sacks away from tying Adam Archuleta, Bill Bates and Roman Harper (18.0) for 11th-most by a defensive back since 1982. With three sacks, Winfield ties Charles Woodson (20.0) for 10th-most.

Winfield needs three more forced fumbles to pass Hardy Nickerson (13) for seventh-most in franchise history.

With one more fumble recovery, Winfield can tie Lee Roy Selmon (10) for fourth-most by a Buccaneer defender.

Chase McLaughlin

With one more field goal from 50+ yards out, McLaughlin will tie Martin Gramatica and Connor Barth (15) for the most in Bucs history.
