Latest Bucs Headlines

The Bucs announced on Monday that they have released inside linebacker Kenny Young. Young began the season on the practice squad and was elevated to the roster in Week 2. He was then signed to the active roster the following week.

No corresponding move has been at the time, so Tampa Bay has an open spot on the 53-man roster.

Young played a special teams role in four games. He played 54 total snaps for that unit and his lone tackle on the season came last week when the Bucs defeated the Falcons.

He’s been in the league since 2018, playing for the Ravens, Rams and Broncos. Young signed with Tampa Bay this offseason and fought to make the roster. There’s always a chance he could end up back on the practice squad.

Bucs LBs On The Roster

The Bucs have a lot of depth a inside linebacker, especially for special teams. After starters Lavonte David and Devin White, Tampa Bay has K.J. Britt and rookie undrafted free agent Olakunle Fatukasi among the 53-man roster. Both of these backups have played snaps for that unit so far in every game on the schedule.

They also have J.J. Russell on the practice squad along with outside linebacker Genard Avery on it as well.

PewterReport.com will update if the team makes another signing to get the roster number to 53 this week.
