Just a week after missing a game-winning kick against the New York Giants in the game’s final seconds, Bucs rookie kicker Matt Gay has received a nomination for the NFL’s Rookie of the Week.

In the Bucs’ Week 4 matchup against the Rams, Gay converted on all nine of his kicks including a franchise-record seven extra points and both of his field goal attempts, the longest coming from 58 yards out.

The other nominees include wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back Josh Jacobs, linebacker Ryan Connelly and quarterback Gardner Minshew who has won the award in two of the season’s first three weeks.
