Tampa Bay wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin had productive days in the passing game in the Bucs’ 28-11 win at Jacksonville on Sunday, but neither receiver topped 100 yards. Tampa Bay’s 268 passing yards marked the fourth-lowest for Winston on the season and snapped his string of five consecutive 300-yard games. Winston also didn’t throw a touchdown pass, but that didn’t matter as the Bucs prevailed.

With the win, the Bucs’ record improved to 5-7, and the team won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Tampa Bay, with its how-powered offense and improving young defense, is looking to go on a streak to end the season at or above .500. The Bucs end the season with home games against Indianapolis, Houston and Atlanta, in addition to a road game against a struggling Lions team at Detroit.

Only the Texans have a winning record, so the Bucs have the opportunity to win at least three or four games in a row before a big showdown on Saturday, December 21 against Houston. If Perriman and Howard continue to step up, Tampa Bay’s diversified passing attack could be the key to victory in those games.
