The Bucs announced some moves on the coaching front Tuesday. Following press conferences by Bruce Arians and Jason Licht, the team announced three new hires and the shuffling of three others.

Larry Foote will be moving from outside linebackers to coach the inside linebacker unit. Foote fills the void left by Mike Caldwell who left to become the Jaguars defensive coordinator. The former NFL linebacker joined Arians coaching staff in Arizona after his lone year playing there and has been part of the Bucs coaching staff since 2019.
The Bucs also announced that tight ends coach Rick Christophel will be moving into a senior offensive assistant role. He has served as the teams tight end coach since 2019. Taking his place will be John Van Dam. Van Dam served as the team assistant tight ends coach in 2021. They are also moving Tim Atkins from defensive quality control coach into a defensive/special teams assistant role. The position was vacated when Cody Grimm left to become the safeties coach in Jacksonville.
Joining the staff is Joey Fitzgerald as defensive quality control coach and Jeff Kastl as an offensive quality control coach. The biggest hire though is Bob Sanders who will replace Foote as the outside linebackers coach. Sanders brings seven years of NFL coaching experience and 40 years of total coaching experience. He last coached the Orlando Apollos of the short lived AAF in 2019, serving as the team’s defensive coordinator. Sanders spent three seasons as linebackers coach for the Arizona Cardinals. Where he worked alongside Arians and Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles.
