The Bucs and 49ers injury report came out on Thursday and it was relatively similar for Tampa Bay. Cornerback Jamel Dean upgraded to a full participant while safety Christian Izien practiced again. Wide receiver Mike Evans, running back Bucky Irving and cornerback Benjamin Morrison didn’t practice again as expected.

What is concerning is that receiver Chris Godwin Jr. didn’t practice again for the second day in a row. Godwin played two games in a row making his return to the NFL, but if he can’t go Friday and misses this Week, it’s definitely a concern for the Bucs. Rookie Emeka Egbuka has been exceptional so far in the season, but he hasn’t played a full game without either Evans or Godwin. It would mean that Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson would need to pick up the slack. It’s doable, but just tougher.

So what’s the surprising name? It was odd to see that backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was limited in practice on Thursday with a right shoulder injury. That is Bridgewater’s throwing shoulder. There’s been several weeks that Baker Mayfield has been on the list, but for the backup quarterback to be on the list and suffering an issue in practice just came out of nowhere.

Ultimately it may not have an impact on the game, but something that stuck out on the list. Here is the full injury report for the Bucs and 49ers for Thursday.
