With Tampa Bay Buccaneers sitting at 2-3, there may be some back and forth in the front office as to whether or not they might be serious buyers or sellers at the trade deadline.
If they want to make a splash move, it could take giving up a little bit. According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, when he’s talked to scouts around the league, tight end O.J. Howard’s name is a hot one in potential trade conversations.
Could O.J. Howard be on the move? 👀 Potential trade involving the Bucs TE is one of the "hottest rumor[s]" among scouts, per @nfldraftscout pic.twitter.com/89Pdijhm2Y

At this point, these are just rumors in conversation. However, you figure these scouts, though they’re not the decision makers themselves, aren’t pulling this idea out of nowhere. Perhaps there are some teams who are reaching out to Tampa for Howard, or maybe the Bucs have put his name out there to gain interest themselves.
Through five games, Howard currently has just 11 catches for 141 yards and no touchdowns. There were concerns in the preseason whether or not Arians’ offense would use Howard as much as his draft status warranted. Maybe there was some truth to that. Or maybe the best is yet to come for Howard in the Bucs offense this season.
Time will tell.
