The Thursday injury report for the Bucs and Texans just released this evening, and there are notable omissions for each team.

Bucs Missing Starting OL, DL Again

Much of Wednesday’s injury news regarding the Bucs stayed the same on Thursday.

The biggest players not participating were left guard Matt Feiler and defensive lineman Logan Hall. For Feiler, it looks as if he will miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury. He was spotted at practice yesterday but was not seen today. Hall was seen coming out on the field Thursday but was still held out after suffering a groin injury just before the Bills game.

As of now, Aaron Stinnie again looks primed to start in place of Feiler and build off what was mostly a solid season debut. Hall seems to be more of a game-time call, and if he does go he could see a limit on his snap count.

In other injury news, there were no limits on quarterback Baker Mayfield, left tackle Tristan Wirfs, and nose tackle Vita Vea. Each was a full participant in practice, and it was an improved designation for Wirfs after he was limited on Wednesday. Having them as close to 100% as possible is crucial in getting a win against the upstart Texans on Sunday and they are each expected to play.

Texans Without Key Offensive Pieces

As was the case last week with the Bills, the Texans have a lengthier list of injuries than the Bucs. On offense, the two biggest statuses to monitor are running back Dameon Pierce and left tackle Laremy Tunsil. Pierce again did not participate with an ankle injury, while Tunsil was upgraded to being a limited participant with a knee injury.

Each is a key contributor for the Texans on the offensive side of the ball, and it will be worth keeping an eye on if they are ready to go for this game. Pierce is still looking to get into a rhythm this season after a promising rookie year, but he remains Houston’s primary running back and is one of the more physical ball carriers in the NFL.

Besides Tristan Wirfs and Trent Williams, Tunsil is one of the league’s best left tackles and serves as the blindside protector of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. Without him, the Bucs’ pass rush may be able to get home with more proficiency.

Here is the full list of who did and did not participate for their respective teams on Thursday.
