The Eagles (14-3) have been crowned as the NFC East division champions with their 22-16 win over the New York Giants. That means that the Bucs’ opponent for next week’s Wild Card playoff game in Tampa Bay is now known. The time and date for the playoff game will be set by the league on Sunday night.
The Bucs will host the Cowboys in a rematch from Week 1 when Tampa Bay won the season opener, 21-3, at Dallas on Sunday Night Football. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was injured in that game, breaking his hand on the helmet of outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett. The Bucs also beat the Cowboys, 31-29, in the 2021 season opener at Tampa Bay.

Both teams suffered a season-ending loss in Week 18 with the Bucs losing to the Falcons in Atlanta, 30-17, and the Cowboys losing to the Commanders at Washington, 26-6. However, the Bucs had a 17-10 lead at halftime before sitting almost all of their starters in the second half. Dallas just looked awful in Washington and suffered a deflating loss as it enters the postseason.
Quarterback Tom Brady has a perfect 7-0 record against the Cowboys. But Brady also had a perfect 11-0 record against the Falcons before Sunday’s loss.
The Cowboys have lost their last eight postseason road games. Dallas’ last road win in the playoffs was the 1992 NFC Championship Game
