Marcell Frazier | West | 4-3 DE | Missouri
The Bucs’ highest priority this offseason is getting better in the trenches, specifically the defensive trenches – pass rushers, to be exact.
Frazier, a former transfer player from the College of the Siskiyous, is a Portland, Oregon native who saw his production increase with each year he was with the Missouri Tigers. He recorded 8.5 sacks in his first year as a full-time starter in 2016, and recorded seven sacks, but 15 tackles for loss this past year during his senior campaign.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, Frazier is a big-bodied defensive end who uses strength and a variety of pass rush moves, including a rip move and a spin move, to get beyond defenders. He doesn’t have elite quickness like other, smaller edge players may have, but for a bigger, 4-3 defensive end, a good week for him could get his name on some boards for the middle rounds.
