Jamyius Pittman | East | DL | UCF
Pittman was one of the players on UCF’s roster who benefited form the extra spotlight the team had this season.
As a four-year player and three-year starter, Pittman has been the interior pass rusher for the Knights no matter what formation they’ve been in. He recorded 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss in his four-year career and saved his best year for last with career highs in tackles for loss, sacks and total tackles.
Pittman is listed at 6-foot-1, and right around 300 pounds. His smaller size is seen as a disadvantage to some, but as we’ve seen with prospects like Aaron Donald, sometimes smaller height for an interior defensive linemen can mean there is a leverage advantage to be had. We saw some of that this season when Pittman was asked to rush the passer, and if his first step is good enough, he could really stand out with a few good days of practice in St. Petersburg.
