Trey Flowers | East | S | Oklahoma State
Though safety isn’t too high on the Bucs priority list, it is a need nonetheless and one of the more intriguing safeties in the group should at least be put on some Tampa Bay fans’ radars.
Flowers is listed at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, and he uses that length to his advantage. His leaner size doesn’t make him overly physical for a strong safety, but there are plays from him where he really knows how to get his long arms out and either bat down or intercept passes. Flowers has four interceptions and 284 tackles to his name over his five seasons at Oklahoma State. After being redshirted his true freshman season, Flowers has been a starter for the Cowboys ever since.
Perhaps Flowers shows good enough athleticism to be an option for the Bucs as a hybrid secondary player, if they chose to start building their back end with longer defensive backs as opposed to the shorter ones we’re used to.
