Brian Allen | East | C/OG | Michigan State
Allen, a 6-foot-2, 300-pound interior offensive lineman, was a team leader and a captain for the Spartans in his final year up in East Lansing.
Allen finished the regular season as the highest rated center in the Big Ten, and No. 5 in the FBS, according to Pro Football Focus. He leads the Spartans’ offensive line with 86 knockdowns, played a team-high 908 snaps during the regular season and was voted the team’s most inspirational player (Biggie Munn Award) on offense.
The Bucs moved stand-out guard Ali Marpet to center in hopes of getting the best combination of five offensive linemen out on the field for 2017. But, with Kevin Pamphile, Evan Smith and J.R. Sweezy all struggling, perhaps the best move going forward is to move Marpet back to the spot he dominated in 2016 (guard) and replace a center instead.
