After a walk-through practice indoors on Wednesday, the Bucs returned to an outdoor practice on Thursday. A total of 18 players were listed on Tampa Bay’s injury report on Thursday, including a new name – Pro Bowl defensive tackle Vita Vea, who did not practice due to a foot injury. Vea was one of four players who were out for a second straight practice – quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (teeth), wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula), running back Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) and outside linebacker Haason Reddick (ankle/knee).

Godwin, Irving and Reddick have already been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 8 game in New Orleans. The Bucs hope that Vea can return to practice later this week and play on Sunday as the team looks to bounce back from a 24-9 loss at Detroit on Monday night.

The good news for Tampa Bay is that several players returned to practice on Thursday – even if it was on a limited basis. Linebacker Lavonte David, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, defensive tackle Greg Gaines, guard Luke Haggard, defensive back Christian Izien and safety Antone Winfield Jr. were all limited on Thursday. Tight end Devin Culp, left guard Ben Bredeson, right guard Baker Mayfield and quarterback Baker Mayfield were all full participants, as was outside linebacker Markees Watts, who returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday with a personal matter.
