Ahead of the Bucs’ Creamsicle throwback game, the most significant player not going to be wearing the uniforms is outside linebacker Anthony Nelson, who was revealed to be doubtful earlier Sunday morning.
With Nelson out with a concussion, undrafted rookie Markees Watts will be active today. That should also lead to an increase in snaps for third-round pick YaYa Diaby as well as Cam Gill as they will be behind Shaq Barrett and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka.
Also of note, reserve defensive lineman Patrick O’Connor and backup tight end David Wells also will not be playing. The Bucs chose to put fifth-round rookie Payne Durham over Wells on the active roster for gameday and he may receive snaps behind Cade Otton and Ko Kieft.

For the Lions, two of their top four draft picks will be out of action. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs and defensive back Brian Branch are both missing this afternoon’s contest, which is little surprise after they did not practice this week and missed Detroit’s last game against the Panthers.
One rookie that will suit up is tight end Sam LaPorta, will was listed as questionable previously. The absence of Gibbs means that David Montgomery will have little in his way from receiving the Lion’s share of touches in the backfield.
The other significant inactive for them is fourth-year starting left guard Jonah Jackson. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will officially be back in the lineup as quarterback Jared Goff’s top target after missing last week with an Abdomen injury.
