Thursday’s injury reports for both the Bucs and Lions were released this afternoon, and each offer some big news in terms of injury designations. The biggest news for Tampa Bay has to do with wide receiver Mike Evans, who was upgraded to a limited participant as he looks to work his way back from a hamstring injury just in time to rock the Creamsicle uniforms.

Other news of note includes Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke practicing fully after being limited on Wednesday. His status getting more optimistic bodes well for his big matchup against Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
While both of these updates are positive developments, it wasn’t all sunshine on what was a mostly rainy day in Tampa Bay. Outside linebacker Shaq Barrett did not participate in practice as he was out with an illness. The team will surely hope he feels better and can apply pressure on quarterback Jared Goff come game time.
For the other seven players on the team’s injury report – all on defense – they were all listed as full participants and look ready to go. This gives head coach Todd Bowles plenty of reinforcements as he looks to have his troops ready to do battle.
Switching gears to the Lions, the team out of Motor City had a notable addition to their injury list. Rookie tight end Sam Laporta, already emerging as one of the best at his position, did not participate due to a calf injury. His status will be one to closely monitor as he is already one of Goff’s biggest weapons. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs and center Frank Ragnow also did not participate. For Gibbs, it was his second consecutive day not out there as he deals with a hamstring issue, while Ragnow had a rest day.
While they all sat out, one star player for Detroit was back on the field. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was a full participant after missing last week’s game and being limited on Wednesday. Getting him back in the lineup as the main target means the Bucs’ secondary will have to deal with yet another playmaking receiver besides Josh Reynolds and Jameson Williams.
The rest of the Lions’ injury report was a lot of the same as yesterday, although left tackle Taylor Decker was also upgraded to being a full participant.
