Latest Bucs Headlines

The Bucs will need all the pieces they can get for this intense divisional matchup against the Saints taking place on Sunday. The good news is they’ll get one of their starters back, the bad news is their other starter at the same position will be out, as well as some depth pieces.

Tampa Bay has certainly hit the injury bug early on this season with cornerback and defensive tackle getting the worst it. For the first time since Week 1, Carlton Davis III has a chance to play as his status was put as questionable for the game. He practiced all week in different capacities, going from limited to full then limited again. In comes Davis but out goes Jamel Dean, who Todd Bowles said is out for when the Bucs play the Saints. Backup cornerback Derrek Pitts won’t be playing either.

At defensive tackle, Vita Vea practiced on Friday for the first time this week. He was limited, but at least he was available. Rookie first round pick is out again this week. Another rookie, SirVocea Dennis, continues to be out as well. The other questionable player was Devin White, who said after Monday’s game that he would be good to go for this divisional battle.

The Saints had a couple of key players ruled out. They had three in total with cornerback Paulson Adebo, safety Jordan Howden and guard Cesar Ruiz all out. Surprisingly, quarterback Derek Carr practiced on Friday and has been listed as questionable for the game.
