The Bucs reduced their roster to 80 players a day ealier. After releasing wide receiver Vyncint Smith and safety Troy Warner a day after a 13-3 loss to Tennessee on Saturday, Tampa Bay made three roster moves on Monday.
As expected, the Bucs placed guard Aaron Stinnie and outside linebacker Cam Gill on injured reserve. Stinnie tore his ACL and MCL in Saturday’s game against the Titans and had to be carted off. Gill suffered a Lisfranc foot injury in the Bucs’ preseason opener against Miami. Both are out for the entire season.
The final roster move was waiving tight end Bug Howard, who was the most recent tight end added to the roster. Howard was signed just a week into training camp. There are currently five tight ends on the roster – veterans Cam Brate and Kyle Rudolph and rookies Cade Otton, Ko Kieft and J.J. Howland.
The Bucs will make their final roster cutdowns from 80 players to 53 following the final preseason game this Saturday at Indianapolis.
