Already decimated by injuries, the Bucs had a few other players go down in their 41-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Newly promoted wide receiver Cyril Grayson left during the first drive of the game with a hamstring injury. He was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game. Mike Evans also required attention after one play in which he looked like he had injured his hand. He ultimately re-entered the game. Breshad Perriman was also injured in the contest, but finished the game.
Losing Grayson would be a crucial blow for the Bucs, who are already down Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown.
It seems like every game there is an injury to a member of the Bucs secondary and this game was no different. Cornerback Jamel Dean left the game in the middle of the third quarter with a hamstring injury. Dean was tabbed as questionable to return but the third-year corner did not re-enter the game
Arians was asked for an injury update during the Bucs postgame press conference.
“I think the only person we might’ve lost is Cyril, but we’ll see how bad his hamstring,” Arians said. “Breshad is fine he finished the game. Dean’s got a little bit of a tight hamstring. We don’t think it’s anything serious. Grayson is a hamstring so we’ll wait and see how bad it is.”
Evans also commented on his status after the game.
“I feel good just hit my funny bone,” Evans said. “You know I was having flashbacks from last year. Oh man this is so unfortunate. Then my hand went a little numb but then the sense came back. You know I’m good.”
