Though this Tampa Bay Buccaneers season hasn’t exactly gone according to plan, there has been one constant that has remained throughout the struggles, and that is the success of the team’s star wide receiver Mike Evans.
On Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, Evans went over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the fifth straight season.
The only two other wide receivers in NFL history who have ever started their careers with five-straight 1,000-yard seasons were A.J. Green and Randy Moss.
Evans already became the Buccaneers’ all-time leading receiver in franchise history in terms of receiving touchdowns and receiving yards, all by the age of 25. Evans still trails James Wilder for the most catches in franchise history, but will likely surpass that record, as well, next season.
