During his post-practice press conference on Friday, head coach Bruce Arians announced that wide receiver Justin Watson has been ruled out for the Bucs’ Week 3 match-up against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
“Justin is out for the ball game,” Arians said. “Everybody else is ready to roll.”
Arians followed up the announcement by discussing how the Bucs will adjust to Watson’s absence after the third-year receiver was on the field for 54 offensive snaps this past Sunday, the most of any Bucs wideout with Chris Godwin being held out due to a concussion.
“We’re making those decisions now,” Arians said. “The biggest roles are special teams because Justin has such a huge role there. Receiver-wise it could be [Jaydon] Mickens, [Cyril] Grayson, Tyler [Johnson] has had a good week of practice. We’ll see where it goes.”
