I didn't think this was even remotely possible given the last couple of weeks etc etc. However, given Saban's previous hiring situations (specifically after the Dolphins) :o You just never can trust his word on anything. Listening to him on ESPN this morning was really "Strange" in the way he addressed the game against Oklahoma which I believe Bama will win convincingly. Might be nothing but his dialogue seemed almost like someone addressing in 3rd person. I could be 100% wrong but I have a gut feeling he indeed is going to Texas and it isn't about Money but more about Ego and being bored at Bama. Hey its just a hunch and certainly at this time it seems Briles is the new hot flavor according to the talking heads and even suggested that Briles would be willing to listen to Texas offers.. Stay tuned....

That certainly is a factor but a legacy of having MNC's at 3 different programs I think is what may drive the decision. Understand this is strictly speculation on my part and could be nothing but Saban like the Petrino's and Meyer's of the world don't put honesty at the top of their list when addressing future plans. The big source for Texas has always been Chip Brown and he is usually about 40/60 in his predictions. At this time he has almost closed the door on Saban and now has Briles on the front page... I am sure the Saban commentary will be on ESPN several times. What do you think of the way he spoke about the game? I just thought it seemed very detached from the team and Alabama.

As stated I just thought Saban's remarks seemed to detach himself from Alabama.. Given his history of lying about things I just found it a bit curious.
